The team at The Front have covered this trial with care & respect. I've made a few episodes throughout the trial, and today's episode of The Front is one I'm particularly proud of, because walking that tightrope between a truly heartless crime, and content, is never easy.
I always strive to create a mix that leads with respect for the victims.
A mix that leads with heart.
We also had permission to use Justice Christopher Beale's sentencing audio throughout the episode, and have heard from the only survivor, Ian Wilkinson, yesterday after the sentencing, as well as his powerful victim impact statement...that no one should have to make.
Another example of how real voices, words, sound and silence are all so incredibly powerful.
